Antique c. 1910s Velvet Smoking Tobacco octagonal humidor canister tin, manufactured by Spaulding & Merrick, Chicago, ILL. This larger tabletop size was originally released as a holiday/Christmas edition.

Features a removable lid with a metal top knob and an interior lid aerator panel with small ventilation holes. The lithographed exterior displays the cursive "Velvet Tobacco" logo on the front and back panels, with illustrations of smoking pipes on the left and right side panels. The underside base is stamped with the manufacturer text: "Spaulding & Merrick, Chicago, ILL."
