This traditional manual sharpening tool was designed to clamp directly to the edge of a workbench or table. Turning the hand crank rotates the stone for sharpening knives, chisels, farm tools and other cutting implements without electricity.
The grinder features a heavy cast metal frame with an integrated bench clamp, threaded tightening screw with star-shaped handle, hand crank and an old red-painted wooden crank handle.
The grinding stone remains installed and displays considerable age and use, giving the piece excellent primitive workshop character.

Antique pre-owned condition with heavy authentic age and workshop wear.
Visible condition includes surface oxidation, rust, scratches, grime and discoloration throughout the metal components. The red wooden crank handle has substantial paint loss, scratches and darkened areas from age and use.
The grinding stone shows heavy surface wear, discoloration and edge wear. The clamp screw and tightening knob are present.
The grinder has not been tested under working conditions. It may require cleaning, lubrication, adjustment or other servicing before functional use.
No restoration has been performed.
