Up for sale is an incredibly scarce, authentic antique patent medicine advertising trade card for \"Bitgood\'s Original Compound Vegetable Syrups, Ointments, and Powders\", manufactured solely by G. E. Bitgood in Farnumsville, Mass.
- Front Side: Features a beautiful black-and-white commercial lithograph/photogravure print of the Bitgood Laboratory building on Railroad Ave, complete with a \"Vibbert Photo\" credit stamp in the corner.
- Back Side: Features a portrait of proprietor George E. Bitgood alongside a list of his 10 original medicinal remedies designed to treat ailments ranging from kidney diseases and tumors to eczema and croup.
- Historical Significance: The bottom explicitly mentions compliance with the landmark Pure Food and Drug Act of June 30, 1906 (Serial Number 5091), pinning its production precisely to the turn of the century when federal regulations began shutting down smaller local apothecary operations.
