X-Men #94 CGC 8.0 White Pages New X-Men Begin Wolverine Storm Claremont 1975 For Sale

X-MEN #94: the first new X-Men story in five years.
Cover-dated August 1975, this is the issue where X-Men stopped being a reprint book. Marvel had kept the title alive since 1970 by recycling old stories. That spring, Giant-Size X-Men #1 introduced an international roster, and #94 is where they move into the monthly book for good.
It opens with a clean break. Most of the original team walks out in the first pages, Sunfire quits, and Cyclops is left leading Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Thunderbird, Banshee, and Wolverine against Count Nefaria, who has seized a NORAD base. The cover line says it plainly: The All-New, All-Different X-Men.
Len Wein plots and Chris Claremont scripts. It is Claremont's first issue on a series he would go on to write for sixteen years. Dave Cockrum pencils, Bob McLeod inks, and Gil Kane and Cockrum share the cover. The team formed here became the template for nearly every X-Men comic, cartoon, and film that followed.
This copy grades CGC 8.0, Very Fine, with white pages, the top page-quality designation CGC assigns. The red-and-yellow logo and the dark cover field present cleanly in the photos.
