This pay book may seem like it\'s just another book but it\'s the name behind it that makes this a powerful piece of history!I used the serial in the book to look up the name of the soldier and this has been verified, through military records, as being Willard A. Smith. I then did some research into this amazing man and found out that he fought in 5 campaigns during WWII including Battle of the Bulge and the Normandy invasion. This comes straight from his obituary page from the funeral home. In 9 years, I have only ever had one other Normandy piece so am honored and blown away to have another! This piece is sure to be a focal point of any collection!
