Up for sale is a highly sought-after, 100% authentic First Pattern (1941–1942) WWII U.S. Army M-1941 Herringbone Twill (HBT) One-Piece Suit Coverall.This early-war specimen features the rare, integrated cloth waist belt with its original black metal slider buckle—a feature completely deleted on the later-war M-1943 patterns. It comes complete with its original U.S. Army Service Forces shoulder patches sewn onto both sleeves, signifying its history with wartime logistics, mechanical supply, and depot operations.It is constructed with the early-war blackened steel 13-star burst tack buttons on the main placket, chest pockets, wrist cuffs, and leg cuffs. It also includes the fully intact internal anti-gas flap running behind the main front button line.

Best of all, this piece retains its original, crisp size tag behind the neck reading 38L (38 Long). Original wartime "Long" sizes are incredibly difficult to find today and are highly prized by collectors and vintage wearers alike for their ability to fit modern body proportions.

Condition:

This suit is in good vintage, field-worn condition with phenomenal "salty" character, honest sun-bleaching, and beautiful fabric fading. Note the pictures are taken in outside natural lighting.

Pockets/Fabric: There is a structural tear along the top seam of the right thigh cargo pocket (visible in photos), along with minor fraying on the pocket corners and edge trim.

Hardware/Stains: All original 13-star buttons and the belt buckle are intact and functional. There are light, natural rust storage stains on the fabric near the middle buttonholes of the front placket, typical for steel buttons of this age.
