Vtg Primitive Killick Boat Anchor Stone Wood Folk Art Nautical Mari 18 X 13 8lbs:
$90.00

This is a fascinating piece of authentic maritime history. Known as a Killick Anchor, this primitive tool utilizes the weight of a natural river/sea stone trapped within a hand-carved wooden cage. The base features a sturdy cross-fluke design intended to snag on rocky bottoms.

Perfect for a bookshelf, mantel, or beach house gallery, this piece bridges the gap between functional sea tool and sculptural folk art. It features a great mix of textures, from the rough-hewn wood to the natural stone and weathered rope.
