Vtg Bill Callahan Fine Pewter Hand-Painted Northern Pintail Drake Mini Decoy For Sale

This exceptional miniature waterfowl figurine is a highly collectible work by renowned wildlife artist Bill Callahan, produced during the 1970s. Meticulously hand-cast in solid fine pewter and individually hand-painted, this piece beautifully replicates the timeless look of a traditional folk-art wooden decoy while retaining the satisfying weight and durability of fine metalwork.
The figurine realistically showcases the distinct features of a Northern Pintail Drake (Anas acuta), including:Its iconic chocolate-brown head and graceful neck tapering down to a clean white breast.Intricately painted, dark vermiculated patterns across its back and flanks to mimic natural feathering.
A stylized, pointed black tail feather that defines the signature silhouette of the species.
The textured, raw pewter underside features the authentic, deeply incised cursive signature of the artist: "Bill Callahan ©". Because each of these pewter miniatures was finished by hand, no two pieces feature the exact same paint strokes, making it a unique find for collectors of vintage miniature decoys, fine pewter figurines, or rustic cabin decor.
