Vintage Wood Block & Tackle Double Pulley Bronze Sheaves Nautical Marine Rigging For Sale

Vintage wooden double-sheave block and tackle pulley set with heavy metal fittings and what appear to be bronze/brass sheaves. Substantial old working hardware with excellent aged character and patina.

The wooden blocks show authentic wear, checking, scratches, discoloration and age from use. Metal hardware has oxidation/patina. The internal sheaves have a yellow-gold copper-alloy appearance consistent with brass or bronze; exact metal composition has not been tested. Includes the orange/white synthetic rope shown. The rope appears considerably newer than the blocks and is not represented as original.

Appears consistent with older marine, sailing, industrial, farm or general-purpose rigging equipment. I have not found a clearly readable manufacturer’s mark, so maker, exact age and original application are unknown. I am leaving everything in as-found condition and have not polished or restored the wood or metal.

Great display piece for a nautical/maritime collection, antique tool collection, primitive industrial décor, sailing/boat décor, workshop, barn, restaurant, lodge or cabin. It may also have restoration/use potential, but because its history and load rating are unknown, it is being sold as a vintage collectible/decorative item rather than certified lifting equipment.

Includes both wooden pulley blocks, attached metal hardware/hooks and rope exactly as pictured.
