USS Dace (SSN-607) was a Permit-class nuclear attack submarine built by Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, Mississippi. She was launched in 1962 with Betty Ford as her sponsor, commissioned on 4 April 1964, and decommissioned in December 1988.
She spent much of her career with Submarine Development Group Two in New London, testing tactics and sonar for the rest of the fleet, and won seven Battle Efficiency "E" awards in her first eight years. She carried the name of the World War II submarine USS Dace (SS-247).
The square cast emblem shows an atom and a submarine over a shield with "USS DACE SSN 607", mounted on a solid oak shield.
