Vintage TurkishCopper Wash Basin w 21.75” Handcrafted Riveted Brass Handles For Sale

My copper wash basin is:* 21¾” long including handles* 19” body length* 11” wide* 9¾” tall* 7 pounds* Copper* Made in Turkey* Traditional riveted construction* Natural aged patina* No leaks* Some cleaning has been done, but it has not been aggressively polished* i have owned it since the the 80’s The underside retains a “Made in Turkey” label. This is a traditionally constructed copper vessel with visible seams, hand-worked/planished areas and substantial riveted handles. The copper has developed a beautiful natural aged patina over the years. It was used as a decorative wood/kindling holder near a fireplace and has been stored in an attic for approximately 12-15years.I recently washed it and cleaned it very lightly but did not aggressively polish the copper, so the natural aged appearance remains.I have tested it with water and it does’t leak.A beautiful and versatile piece for use as a decorative planter, fireplace/kindling holder, blanket holder, display piece, or simply as a large piece of traditional Turkish copperwork.
