This vintage studio pottery steam pot stoneware chicken baker is a unique and handmade piece of cookware. It features a round shape with a brown, cream, and tan speckled color, making it fit in with a vintage kitchen aesthetic. The pot includes a central steam vent, side handles, and comes with a lid, making it a versatile and practical addition to any cooking collection. Made from stoneware clay ceramic, this steam pot chicken baker is sure to add a touch of charm to any kitchen.

Gas Stoves/Traditional Electric Coils: The steam pot cannot touch the direct flame or metal burner. High direct heat concentrated in one area will cause the vintage stoneware clay to suffer thermal shock and crack. To use it properly, you must set it directly on top of a standard metal saucepan filled with boiling water. The bottom saucepan handles the burner heat, while the rising steam flows up through the bottom hole of the pottery piece to cook your food. Alternatively, a metal heat diffuser (flame tamer disk) must be placed over the burner to distribute heat evenly.
Gas/Ceramic Cooktops: Do not sit the raw pottery base directly on the glass, as its rough clay texture can scratch or stain the cooktop. Use the saucepan-over-water method or use an insulated heat diffuser disk designed explicitly for glass surfaces.
Induction Cooktops: Place on top of a magnetic metal induction adapter plate or a compatible induction-safe saucepan of boiling water.
Conventional Ovens: This pot is entirely oven safe. When using it to bake bread or roast dishes, always place the pot into a cold oven and let it preheat gradually alongside the appliance to prevent structural damage.
