Vintage framed Princeton University, 1836 historical architectural print depicting the early Princeton campus with Nassau Hall prominently centered.
The image identifies several historic campus buildings, including Philosophical and Chemical Hall, East College, Whig Hall, Nassau Hall, Clio Hall, West College and Stanhope Hall. It is based on the historic 1836 Princeton University lithograph and features a detailed color view with figures, horse-drawn carriage and early campus architecture.
Presented under glass with a multi-line decorative mat treatment and an aged gilt-finish wood frame. The reverse retains an old A. Cahan Picture Framing, New York City stamp.
This appears to be a later vintage reproduction of the historic 1836 image rather than an original 1836 printing. Exact printing date is unknown.
Overall framed size is approximately 15.5"x13". Visible artwork/matted opening is approximately 11"x8".
A very attractive piece of Princeton University memorabilia and historical collegiate wall decor.
