Vintage Nambé Classic Heart Bowl #1188 Silver Alloy Decor 1987 For Sale

This is a striking vintage Nambé Classic Heart Bowl, model number 1188, originally designed in 1987. Crafted from Nambé's signature sand-cast metal alloy, this bowl features a brilliant, mirror-like luster and a heavy, high-quality weight. The organic, fluid heart shape is representative of Nambé's mid-century modern influence and timeless minimalist aesthetic. Known for its exceptional thermal properties, this alloy can be pre-chilled or heated to maintain the temperature of served food, though it is most commonly used as a high-end decorative catch-all or centerpiece. The bottom is clearly stamped with the Nambé logo, 'Classic', '1188', and the 1987 copyright mark. This piece is a quintessential example of American modernist design, perfect for collectors of quality metalware or as a sophisticated gift. It shows light surface scratches consistent with careful use over time, which adds to its authentic vintage character.
