Vintage 1960s Gold Chalkware Tragedy Theater Mask
This is a classic Greek tragedy theater mask wall hanging. Crafted from chalkware/plaster, this piece is finished in a metallic gold/bronze colorway that pairs beautifully with mid-century modern, Hollywood Regency, or eclectic interior aesthetics. It has perfectly aged.
This is a pre-owned vintage item with character and authentic age. As shown in the photos, there is visible paint flaking and chipping to the plaster finish along the high points (including the nose, brows, hair ridges, and mouth). This gives the piece an authentic, distressed antique patina. There are no major structural cracks, and it is structurally sound for wall mounting.
It measures out to approximately 9” by 6”.
