Unusual pair of vintage Metadate CD pharmaceutical promotional socks featuring a whimsical medical-themed design and original Nicole Miller retail hanger.
The black socks are decorated with colorful medical imagery, including stethoscopes, syringes, adhesive bandages, thermometers and other physician/medical-office motifs. The reverse/sole area carries original Metadate promotional advertising.
The original hanger identifies these as Nicole Miller style M2171, “The Clinic,” size 10–13. The socks are 70% cotton and 30% nylon and were licensed and manufactured by Paul Lavitt Mills Inc.
The socks areunused/unworn and remain attached to their original retail hanger. They have been stored for many years, so there may be minor age or storage wear, lint, dust, or light surface marks. The original hanger shows scratches, scuffs and general storage wear. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
Metadate CD branding was in commercial use by 2001, and a surviving promotional pad-and-pen set is specifically dated 2003, making an early-2000s date reasonable for these socks.
An unusual crossover collectible for fans of pharmaceutical advertising, Nicole Miller accessories, vintage medical memorabilia, physician gifts, novelty socks, Y2K-era promotional merchandise, or pharmaceutical swag.
This is a promotional advertising collectible only. No medication is included.
