Designed in 1958 by the internationally renowned Dave Chapman design firm, the Jefferson "500" was patterned after a ship's binnacle (compass). Its heavy, slanted bullet-shaped profile and high-polish chrome finish make it a striking sculptural piece that perfectly complements Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, and Brutalist interiors.

Unlike ticking clocks, this model utilizes a high-quality synchronous motor for a completely silent, continuous sweeping red second hand. A clever design feature allows any excess power cord to be wound and hidden out of sight within the satin black base. A fantastic, fully functional piece of mid-century horology.
