This is a stunning vintage Italian folding hand fan, beautifully preserved in its original presentation box. Made in Italy as a high-quality souvenir from Florence, the fan features a printed fabric leaf depicting a charming, romanticized street scene with horse-drawn carriages alongside historic architecture. The top edge of the fan leaf is elegantly trimmed with delicate black floral lace. The guard sticks and intricate inner ribs are made from an openwork, dark faux-tortoiseshell plastic composition. These structural elements are beautifully highlighted with ornate gold-paint filigree accents, along with painted pink floral details near the pivot. A textured gold-tone metal loop is fixed to the base for hanging or holding. When fully opened, the fan measures approximately 45cm from end to end.
