Vintage Indian Dhokra Brass Elephant Figurine – Antique Tribal Lost-Wax Cast Art For Sale

Vintage Indian Dhokra Brass Elephant Figurine – Antique Tribal Lost-Wax Cast Metal Art Charm

For your consideration is a beautiful Vintage Dhokra (Dokra) Brass Elephant Figurine, an authentic piece of Indian tribal folk art. Handcrafted by artisans using the ancient lost-wax casting technique (cire perdue), this miniature figurine features the classic, intricate hallmarks of traditional metalwork from the West Bengal/Odisha regions.

This pocket-sized treasure showcases a beautifully stylized elephant with an upright trunk—a traditional symbol of good luck, prosperity, and strength. The body features a highly detailed, hollow-core lattice/grid design framed by coiled brass \"thread\" textures unique to the Dhokra casting process. Because each piece is made from a one-time wax mold, this figurine is entirely unique, with its own distinct character.

A perfect addition for collectors of Asian antiquities, tribal artifacts, or miniature brass animal figurines. It also makes for an exquisite decorative charm, ring holder, or talisman.
