Vintage Hudson Bay Boys Camp Axe 26 Inch 2 lb 12 oz Unmarked Mann Style For Sale

Vintage Hudson Bay pattern boys camp axe featuring a traditional bearded blade, compact head design, and 26 1/4-inch overall length.

This axe closely resembles Hudson Bay patterns manufactured by Mann Edge Tool Company, including axes produced for Norlund and other brands. The head is unmarked, so the manufacturer cannot be positively identified.

The head features a broad 4-inch cutting edge, pronounced lower beard, rectangular poll, and traditional Hudson Bay profile. Its compact design makes it suitable for camping, outdoor use, woodworking, or inclusion in a vintage axe collection.

The steel head has been cleaned, revealing its original shape and surface characteristics. The axe retains an aged wooden handle with visible wear from use.

Estimated era: 1960s–1980s.

CONDITION

Vintage condition with age-related wear and signs of previous use. The steel head has been cleaned and retains scattered surface discoloration, and tooling marks. The cutting edge shows wear consistent with age and use.

The wooden handle shows weathering, surface checking, and wear, particularly near the head. The axe is being offered in its current condition as shown in the photographs.
