Super Rare 1940's vertical hanging advertisement for Williams Holsum Bread.
Made of paper and is almost 35" long. Features Mother's Day theme.
These hanging signs were used as advertising signs in grocery stores and bakeries.
This one is signed, Stan Ekman. Stan Ekman was a famous illustrator mostly known for the American Airlines logo. I believe the metal frames at the bottom and top are original.
PLEASE NOTE: There are age spots/stains throughout, mostly seen on the bottom. There are two small holes in the boy's hair.
It displays beautifully.
