Vintage Henry Ford Museum Fabric Rose Cottage Floral Cotton Blend 2.4 Yds READ: $15.00
This is a beautiful piece of vintage mid-century fabric made by special arrangement with the Henry Ford Museum. The pattern name is Rose Cottage and it features a gorgeous floral ribbon stripe design with muted slate blue and tan flowers on a cream background. The "Rose Cottage" pattern name on the selvage edge is actually named after the historic Cotswold Rose Cottage, a famous 17th-century English stone cottage that Henry Ford had physically dismantled, shipped across the Atlantic, and reassembled in Dearborn, Michigan, as part of the museum's Greenfield Village. It measures 53 1/2 inches wide from selvage to selvage and is 87 inches long, which is just under 2 1/2 yards total. The material is a high quality cotton blend perfect for pillows, quilting, or small upholstery projects. The fabric is clean and unwashed. There is one very small hole in the weave located about 7 inches in from the edge and roughly 44 inches down from the end. You can see up close details in the 3rd, 4th and 5th photo. Other than that small spot the piece is in wonderful vintage condition. It comes from a smoke free home and is ready for your next project.
