Vintage French professional flotation/survival vest with extensive original inspection history.Heavy grey/olive outer construction with mustard-yellow interior, large horseshoe flotation collar, multiple buoyancy sections, adjustable webbing harness and leg/crotch restraint straps.Beautiful genuine wear and patina. One lower strap is detached but included with its hardware; other straps show old repairs/replacement. See photos.
Interior retains numerous French “VÉRIFIÉ” inspection stamps, including repeated DSM/B markings and inspection dates extending over many years. These suggest institutional/professional service use. Exact manufacturer, service and model have not yet been identified.The subdued colouring, construction and inspection history make it particularly interesting as military/naval, maritime-survival and technical-equipment collecting material.
