Authentic Vintage Ernesto Durán Castro Terracotta Musician Figurine
Up for sale/sale is a highly collectible and authentic studio ceramic statue by the renowned Chilean visual artist, ceramist, and sculptor Ernesto Durán Castro.
Durán is celebrated for his deep research into ancestral indigenous cultures. His work beautifully rescues and reinterprets the traditional aesthetics of the Pre-Columbian Diaguita and Atacameño peoples of Northern Chile.

The Figure: A stylized, anthropomorphic figure holding and playing a stringed instrument (guitar/charango).
Details: The back features intricate, hand-carved geometric chevron patterns and concentric circular eye motifs mimicking indigenous textile wraps.
Condition: Excellent vintage studio condition. There are no structural cracks, deep chips, or repairs. Features a natural, earthy matte slip finish typical of his early-to-mid-career workshop output. Please review all photos carefully as they serve as the primary visual description.
Dimensions: Stands approximately 7.5\" tall (as verified by the measuring tape photo).
Signature: Hand-signed incised \"Ernesto Duran\" clearly legible on the lower back.
