Vintage Disney Mickey Minnie Mouse R Dakin Dolls Figures Pair Original Clothes For Sale

Before Disney collectibles came sealed in plastic clamshells, Mickey and Minnie looked like this.

Offered together is a wonderfully character-filled vintage pair of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse dolls produced by R. Dakin & Company for Walt Disney Productions, dating to the vintage Hong Kong production era.

Both figures retain their period cloth outfits, giving the pair exactly the kind of authentic, time-earned appearance collectors expect from Disney toys that have survived roughly half a century.

Mickey wears his classic red shorts with white buttons, yellow shirt and oversized brown shoes. Minnie retains her red-and-white polka-dot skirt, yellow top and signature red bow. Both feature the wonderfully expressive molded faces associated with vintage Dakin Disney figures.

Most importantly for identification, the original markings remain present. Mickey’s shoe is molded:

Original Dakin/Walt Disney identification tags are also present on the clothing.

These aren’t reproductions made to look old. They are genuine pieces of vintage Disney merchandising from an earlier generation of Mickey and Minnie collectibles.

Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with substantial age-related wear. Clothing shows fading, discoloration, fraying, loose/open seams and other deterioration consistent with age. Mickey’s clothing is particularly worn around the shorts and shirt. Figures show surface wear, marks and discoloration from handling and age. Minnie retains her skirt, top and bow. Please review the detailed photographs carefully—they form an important part of the condition description.

The figures have not been restored, and I would leave that decision to the next collector.
