Vintage 1986 BUCK 826 Statue of Liberty Folding Pocket Knife Box Paperwork USA For Sale

An exceptional, investment-grade example of the historic 1986 Buck Model 826 Statue of Liberty Centennial commemorative lockback pocket knife. This 40-year-old American-made treasure is in flawless, unused factory condition and has been meticulously preserved as a true time capsule piece. The amber-toned acrylic handle scales are bright, clear, and completely free of the shrinkage or hairline cracks that often plague surviving examples. The gold-filled depiction of Lady Liberty remains immaculate, and the authentic copper medallion—cast directly from salvaged materials removed from the monument during its 1980s restoration—retains its beautiful, untouched original factory patina.
The satin-finished stainless steel drop-point blade features a crisp, 100% intact gold banner scroll etching celebrating the 1886–1986 centennial. The reverse ricasso is stamped with the early production serial number 01826I, intentionally featuring the \"826\" model configuration. The blade retains its razor-sharp factory edge with absolutely no micro-scratching, spot corrosion, or signs of carry. This complete collector\'s package includes the original two-piece factory box (Model 826 / Cat #1253) and the original factory-enclosed paperwork from Chairman Al Buck. Opportunities to acquire a strictly uncarried, early-sequence variant in this pristine shape are increasingly rare.
