Vintage 1970s Big Boy Restaurant Coin Bank 9.5” Korea Rubber Vinyl Advertising Big Boy restaurant mascot coin bank, featuring the iconic smiling Big Boy character in his classic red-and-white checkerboard overalls, white shirt and swept black pompadour hairstyle.

This large vintage bank measures approximately 9.5” tall × 4.5” wide and is made of molded rubber/vinyl. A coin slot is located on the back.

The figure is marked KOREA on the back of the neck and MADE IN KOREA on the underside.

A fantastic piece of vintage restaurant advertising and Americana for collectors of Big Boy memorabilia, fast-food advertising, retro diner décor and vintage character banks.

• Vintage advertising vintage condition with age-related wear. There are small scratches, scuff marks, surface marks and areas of paint loss, including visible wear to the black hair. There is also discoloration/soiling in areas consistent with age and handling. The back coin-slot area shows wear. No removable coin stopper is present on the bottom; this appears consistent with at least some Korean versions, where coins are accessed through the figure rather than a bottom plug. A current Korean example is likewise described as having no stopper.
