VTG PAIR MID-CENTURY 18\" TALL BRASS CANDLESTICKS TAPER or PILLAR CANDLE JAPANVery nice condition for the age. I have never tried to polish these as I like the vintage look so will leave to discretion of buyer. Please see all photos and ask if in doubt. From the early 1960s, these heavy, sturdy brass candlesticks have been handed down in the family. I have had them since the mid-70s.Both are marked JAPAN. The removable part is the spike or pricket for holding the pillar in place (see photos 10 & 11.) If not using a pillar, invert the spike or pricket into the hole shown in photo 9 and the cup holds a taper candle securely in place (see photo 12.) The last photo shows how they can be disassembled. They will be shipped disassembled to save on shipping. This pair definitely makes a statement.Stored in a pet and smoke free homeDimensions: each candlestick is 4 3/4\" x 18\" tallThanks for stopping by!FT
