VTG Mstera Russian Lacquer Box Hand Painted Papier Mache USSR Signed Art 3.5” For Sale

This piece reflects the classic Soviet-era production standards of the mid-to-late 20th century. During this boom period, state-regulated art collectives in Mstera Village enforced strict artistic quality guidelines.

The box features the signature three-part gold script on the lid's bottom edge—detailing the factory location (Мстёра), the scene title, and the artist’s initials (ГШ)—which was the mandatory protocol for authentic USSR workshop goods.
