Vintage Erzgebirge wooden miniatures, a classic style of German folk art traditionally hand turned and carved in the Ore Mountain regions. This specific lot of five depicts a charming street band or Oompah band. The figures are crafted primarily from natural wood using traditional lathe turning techniques. Each musician has hand painted facial features and they stand on matching round wooden bases. The band consists of an accordionist, band leader or conductor, double base player, horn, and drummer.Figurines are marked Gesetzlich Geschutzt with an ink stamp. Design and finish of musicians are attributed to Richard Glasser.
Accordion player is missing a tassel from the top of his hat. Wear to painted finishes consistent with age and normal use.
