Gorgeous, heavy vintage pair of Eales \"Circa 1779--Authentic Reproduction\" silver-plated candlesticks. Standing at 10.5\" tall, these feature an incredibly intricate, high-relief Georgian/Rococo design covered in scrolling foliage, shells, and floral blossoms.
These are very substantial high-quality pieces with a wonderful antique-style appearance and a heavily weighted feel. Both pieces are stamped on the bottom: \"Eales-Circa 1779 Authentic Reproduction\" and \"Silverplated\".
Excellent vintage structural condition with no dents, dings, deep gouges. They have developed a dark, heavy authentic tarnish patina over time. We\'ve left them completely unpolished as many collectors seek this dramatic, antiqued look to highlight the pattern\'s depth. They will easily polish up to a bright mirror shine with standard silver cream if preferred.
