Conway Stewart 75 Lever Fill Fountain Pen 14ct Gold 1A Nib 1950s England New Sac
Vintage Conway Stewart Model 75 Lever-Fill Fountain Pen – Working with new Sac
Up for sale/sale is a beautifully preserved example of a classic mid-1950s British-made Conway Stewart No. 75 fountain pen.
This piece features a striking mauve/brown marbled celluloid pattern with excellent depth and a gorgeous high-gloss finish.
Fitted with its original, correct Conway Stewart 14ct Solid Gold No. 1A nib. The tines are perfectly straight, aligned, and retain excellent tipping material. It is a smooth, wet, and incredibly expressive writer (please see attached writing sample for flow consistency).
Mechanical:
The petrified original rubber sac has been completely cleared out and replaced with a fresh, premium Size 16 latex sac, sealed with shellac and lubricated with talc.
Cosmetic:
The marbled celluloid body is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, personalized engravings, or deep scratches. The nickel-plated trim shows minimal wear.
The factory "Conway Stewart 75 / MADE IN ENGLAND" linear script imprint is crisp.
Material Note:
Please note there is a slight, stable pinkish age discoloration on the barrel plastic right where it meets the black grip section. This is a common optical and cosmetic trait for vintage celluloid of this era and does not impact the structural integrity or performance of the pen.
An absolute pleasure to write with and a wonderful addition to any vintage writing instrument collection.
