This is the genuine issue, upgraded outer shell (NSN: 8465-01-574-4005) for the USMC 3-Season Sleep System. Made from a lightweight, waterproof, and breathable GORE-TEX fabric, this bivy is designed to protect you and your sleeping bag from the harshest elements like rain, snow, and wind. It's a significant upgrade in packability and weight over the older woodland camo bivy.

This bivy can be used as the outer layer for a complete sleep system or on its own as a lightweight, minimalist shelter in warmer, wet conditions. It features a side zipper for easy entry/exit and snaps for integrating a compatible sleeping bag. The face area includes a screen for bug protection and a stiffener to keep the fabric off your face.
