Traditional Vintage Antique Handwoven Indian Textile with Heavy Gold Ends B379 For Sale

An incredible textile with a delicate and exquisite very lightweight silk or cotton body with a tiny blue on blue checked design. The ends consist of heavy gold metallic sections in a “tissue” weave where the metallic thread is woven directly with the warp creating a beautiful metallic sheen. This textile could have been used for decoration, for men to drape. it is too narrow to be a full sarcee, but could have been used as a half-saree. .

The condition is fair/good. There are spots on the blue lightweight fabric as well as some dark lines (probably oxidation) on the gold sections, as pictured.
