Pier 54 Artifact: This item contains a GENUINE piece of Pier 59! Before the RMS Titanic infamously struck an iceberg and sank on the night of April 14th, 1912, she was originally sailing toward Pier 59 in New York City, which was the official White Star Line pier at the time! Although Titanic never did arrive at Pier 59, the RMS Carpathia did stop at her pier to release the Titanic\'s lifeboats that she recovered following her sinking. Additionally, Pier 59 was the home pier in NYC to all of the White Star Lines\' transatlantic liners, including her sister ship the RMS Olympic, which is seen docked at Pier 59 in the printed image displayed in this item!
