Rare Vintage Hummel #20 Prayer Before Battle Signed With No Bee Mark For Sale

Offered for sale is a very rare Hummel #20 Prayer Before Battle. It is signed MI Hummel but it has no bee mark. Maybe it is a factory sample or prototype or perhaps it was just passed over in the trademarking step during production. I believe it to be from the TMK1 time period because I just viewed a photo of a TMK1 version of this piece in the Robert L. Miller Guide and the face and hairline match. Also, the signature on the bottom matches one that I recently viewed on a TMK1 piece like this. The Miller book also mentions that there were some variations on the flag of this figurine. This piece has a red line separating the white and blue on the flag which is uncommon and another indication that it might be a prototype. It has no repairs, chips, cracks or crazing. It comes from a smoke-free home. This is a real find for the serious Hummel collector. I am not a Hummel expert, but I was a collector of these beautiful hand painted figurines. It is time for me to part with my collection. I have many pieces so please reach out to me if you are looking for a particular figurine. Feel free to ask any questions.
