Rare Vintage Austin Collection Whale Sculptures postmodern tribal graphic For Sale

Beautiful vintage pair of Austin Collection whale sculptures, both dated 1990 and measuring approximately 21.5 inches long.

Each whale features bold black, cream, and deep red graphic decoration with a striking Northwest Coast / tribal-inspired design. The two pieces coordinate beautifully but feature different artwork and different credited names on the underside:

* Cream whale marked “© Austin Collection 1990” and “Anna V.”

* Black whale marked “© Austin Collection 1990” and “E. Medina”

These are substantial statement pieces with a distinctly postmodern / vintage 1990s look. They display especially well together and appear to be an uncommon Austin Collection design that is difficult to find on the secondary market.

Condition:

Overall very good vintage condition with light age-appropriate surface wear. The black whale has one small localized area of surface cracking/crazing with slight lifting in the finish, shown clearly in the photos. The damage is limited to that area and does not appear to be a major structural break. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the condition description.

Original underside markings and older inventory labels remain intact.
