This listing is for a rare Sears, Roebuck and Co. 1961-1962 Fall-Winter, Diamond Jubilee catalog, Limited Library Edition.

This is a time machine taking us back to a time of war and social uncertainty. Sears recognized the historical importance of recording the retail experience of this era for future generations and published several of these hardbound catalogs for distribution to libraries.

The catalog has 1484 pages listing that retail experience for every person, family or business.

In addition to the catalog the following memorabilia are included:

• Sears, Roebuck and Company 75th Diamond Jubilee lapel pin.
• Sears, Roebuck and Company 75th Diamond Jubilee Tie Bar.
• Crowdus Baker 40 year Service Award, .9 oz. Brass/Bronze Medallion.

Crowdus Baker started his career with Sears at the Dallas Mail Order Branch in 1929. He advanced to numerous rolls with the company and in 1960 rose to prominence as Sears President. Mr. Crowdus retired from Sears in 1969.

This Diamond Jubilee catalog and memorabilia were approved during Mr. Crowdus’ tenure as president.

• This catalog is 65 years old and is in excellentcondition.
• The binding is tight and the catalog is firmly attached to the binding.
• The top right corner of the cover is wrinkled.
• The front cover has one small lighter color spot.
• The end panel has four dark spots near the bottom.
• The page ends are slightly darkened due to age.
• The pages have a slight ripple from age.
• There are no missing pages, no torn pages, no dog-eared or folded pages.

The catalog has been in my possession for about 30 years. It was stored in an enclosed bookcase in my office in a temperature and humidity controlled environment.

The catalog is sealed in a plastic bag, covered in cardboard, shrink wrapped and will be shipped in a box.
