Very rare pre-WW2 Italian carabinieri parade dress tunic worn by Rome’s police security corps.Key Details:

Unit: Elite Horse Guard Police Corps (Guardie del Reparto a Cavallo del Corpo degli Agenti di Pubblica Sicurezza—Divisione Speciale per la Capitoli)
Material: Dark-blue double-breasted wool
Features: Silver buttons, red piping along cuffs and edges, military-style epaulets with metallic fringe and crescent base
Embellishments: Victor Emmanuel (Royal House of Savoy) chained metallic embellishment; ornamental silver bouillon collar with silver stars
Aiguillettes: White braided cords on right arm

Given its age at 90 years old, this tunic is in surprisingly good condition. Metal part of each epaulet has small depressions from normal wear & tear. The hat is not included. Extremely scarce item from the golden age of Italian military style. A must have for any serious European military collection.
