Rare Original Cabinet Photo of Celilo Falls and Native American Fishermen, Columbia River, Oregon. 1902 by Early Prominent Oregon Photographer Benjamin Gifford 1859-1936. An iconic cabinet card view of Celilo Falls. The photograph print is in good condition overall with wear commensurate with age and the elements. The cardboard backing has some blemishes on the black front surface and corner wear. The back surface of the card has foxing and stains. A musky odor to the smell. It has a slight warp to the card which will flatten in a frame. Still this is a nice example of early Oregon Photography. So many professional details. Gifford even caught a salmon jumping on film.
