Rare Pair Vintage Cast Iron Miniature Jewelers Anvils~Ram Bookends Paperweights:
$89.00

Up for sale is a highly unique, beautifully matched pair of vintage miniature cast-iron jeweler's anvils featuring highly stylized decorative ram finials.

The Symbolism Behind the Form:

In traditional blacksmithing history, the ram’s head is regarded as one of the ultimate tests of an ironworker's skill. Forging a ram forces a craftsman to master difficult techniques like splitting, curling, and tapering under a hammer. Because of this, the ram became a classic symbol of strength, determination, and professional mastery within the metalworking trade. Miniature novelty anvils like these were historically cast as salesman samples, desk ornaments, or functional paperweights for metalsmiths, cobblers, and watchmakers.

Why This Set is Special:

While single novelty anvils are occasionally found floating around the market, finding an exact matching pair is incredibly rare. Facing one another or arranged symmetrically, they make the perfect industrial-style decorative bookends for a library shelf, a striking mantle display, or a unique desk set for an office.
