Rare Meissen Commissioned Set Of SIX 1000 Nights Thimbles Box Paper Artist Sign For Sale

This rare set of six (6) Meissen thimbles as commissioned by me in 2006, through a Meissen authorized dealer in the Netherlands, and is made of Meissen porcelain in Germany. They are original pieces, made only when commissioned, that comes bearing artist's signature, and Meissen double sword hallmark. The pattern, 1000 Nachts aka 1001 Nights, featuring the tales told by Scheherazade, are intricate and painstakingly hand painted in design and high-quality craftsmanship make these thimbles a valuable addition to any collection of sewing memorabilia or porcelain art. No two are alike. Each thimble is a unique and collectible item that showcases the artistic flair and skill of both the commissioned artist and the renowned Meissen factory. Each painted area was glazed while the top is unglazed following Meissen finish and style.

Each comes in original Meissen box (6 individual original Meissen boxes)

Will pass along copies of the 2006-2007 commission paper work with authorized representative.

These were made by commission, requested by me in 2006.

Each thimble measures 1” tall x 3/4” wide (bottom) and took months to create. Made of Meissen porcelain, each hand painted, and trimmed in gold.
