RARE c1900s Richardson's Kola Pepsin Gum Wrapper Advertising Embossed Postcard For Sale

Antique c.1900s Richardson's Kola Pepsin Gum advertising postcard featuring an original Richardson's Kola Pepsin Gum wrapper attached to the postcard with its red ribbon.

The original gum wrapper is an especially desirable feature of this piece. Early disposable chewing gum wrappers were rarely saved, making surviving examples considerably harder to find than many other forms of period advertising. The wrapper prominently reads “Richardson's Kola Pepsin Gum” and remains attached to the embossed postcard by the decorative red ribbon.

The postcard features a beautiful raised embossed floral design with purple flowers and period handwritten script across the front. The reverse has the traditional divided postcard format and is marked “POST CARD.”

Richardson's Kola advertising dates to the early 1900s, with surviving Richardson's advertising material documented from this period. The combination of the rare original Kola Pepsin Gum wrapper, ribbon, and embossed postcard makes this an unusual piece of early chewing gum and advertising ephemera.
