Protona Minifon P55 Spy Special Wire Recorder Cold War German Military Surplus For Sale

The Minifon P55 Special is an iconic miniature wire recorder produced in West Germany by Monske & Co. / Protona during the 1950s. Designed for covert surveillance, intelligence gathering, and audio logging during the Cold War era, it recorded sound onto extremely fine magnetic steel wire rather than tape. Its compact size made it a favored tool for intelligence services, law enforcement, and military personnel across NATO and Warsaw Pact theatres.
