Pair of vintage Adams & Westlake Adlake Kero railroad lanterns with striking aged yellow-painted finish and amber/brown short glass globes.
Authentic railroad lantern construction includes bell-bottom wire guards, ventilated chimney caps, bail handles with black grips and visible ADLAKE KERO markings. Approximately 9” high with handles lowered and 14.5” with handles extended.
Estimated late 1940s–1960s production based on documented Adlake Kero construction changes. Exact year and original railroad assignment are unconfirmed.
Excellent untouched industrial character with extensive paint loss, oxidation, surface rust, soot/discoloration, scratches and naturally developed patina. Glass shows age/use wear. No cracks are apparent in the supplied photos. Fuel/burner operation has not been tested.
An especially decorative pair for railroadiana collections, train-room displays, industrial interiors, depot décor or vintage Americana collections.
