Pair Of Rare Superfest GDR Capitol Whisky Glasses 225ml Tough German Sachsenglas For Sale

Superfest is the legendary East German glassware developed in the 1970s and produced by VEB Sachsenglas Schwepnitz through the 1980's. Made from chemically strengthened glass, Superfest was designed for exceptional durability and resistance to breakage, making it especially popular in restaurants, bars, and public institutions throughout the former GDR. Production ended after German reunification, and surviving examples are now increasingly sought after by collectors for their distinctive minimalist design, Cold War history, and remarkable strength, being between 5x and 15x stronger than untreated glass.

Each purchase includes two glasses similar to the ones shown. These are the “Capitol” series whisky glasses, a rare variety. My assessment is these are all considered "A" grade. Some are nearly new, while others have some small scratches and scuffs mainly around the widest part of the glass, but nothing large and definitely no cracks or chips. Please examine the photos carefully to get an idea what to expect.
