This vintage original part came off my 1971 Schwinn Stingray Krate boy bike: Cotton Picker
Mine was a coaster brake bike and I don’t know if that makes any difference in the shape of the fender.
Schwinn produced the Cotton Picker Sting-Ray Krate bicycle for a short two-year run from 1970 to 1971 (with some units assembled as early as late 1969 for the 1970 model year).
• Lineup: It was part of the iconic Schwinn Sting-Ray Krate muscle bike series (produced from 1968 to 1973), which named models after occupations or color themes.
• Appearance: It featured a white finish with black accents, a white banana seat, a springer front fork, and an automotive-style Stik-Shift 5-speed gear selector.
• Rarity: Because white and grey options were less popular with kids compared to brighter colors like the Apple Krate or Lemon Peeler, the Cotton Picker was built in lower numbers and discontinued by 1972.
This part is all original. The chrome on the fender part is decent but the bracket is pitting heavily. Light rust on the back side. The little post thing is in decent shape. It works as it should.
Please look at pictures carefully. What you see is what you get. Item is sold as is, no returns.
