"Great Plans Unfolding" (大展宏图) — Original Manchu-Han Calligraphy by Yehenara Yulin, Large Horizontal
An original hand-brushed calligraphy work presenting the classic Chinese blessing for ambition and achievement: 大展宏图 — "May your grand vision unfold" — the phrase traditionally given at business openings, promotions, graduations, and new ventures. Above the bold Han characters runs the same blessing in Manchu script — the writing system of China's Qing emperors — making this a true Manchu-Han combined work (满汉合璧).
Brushed on imperial yellow
Please note: this is an unmounted work (no framing or mounting included). It ships rolled in a protective tube; we recommend custom framing at your local frame shop.
xuan paper — the color once reserved for the emperor himself — in a wide horizontal format made for the wall behind a desk, above an office sofa, or in a study. If you know someone launching a business, taking a new role, or chasing something big, there is no more fitting gift in the Chinese tradition.
This listing is for the exact one-of-a-kind original artwork shown in the photos. Every brushstroke is written by hand. It is not a print, reproduction, digital artwork, or AI-generated image, and no duplicate will ever be created.

About the Artist
Yehenara Yulin is one of the last practicing masters of Manchu calligraphy — the script of China's Qing emperors, mastered today by fewer than a hundred people worldwide — and one of the very few living artists who can also write Jurchen, its medieval ancestor. A fifth-generation descendant of Empress Dowager Cixi's natal Yehenara clan, he is a member of the China Calligraphers Association and a guest professor at Tsinghua University's Academy of Arts & Design. His works have set personal sale records in China, are held in the permanent collection of the China Painting and Calligraphy Academy, have been broadcast on CCTV, and have been exhibited in Macau. He has also led the official translation and preservation of Manchu and Jurchen texts for heritage sites across China. Every piece is brushed, signed, and sealed by the artist personally, and ships direct from his studio in Houston, Texas.
About Xuan Paper
This work is created on traditional handmade Chinese xuan paper (宣纸). Natural surface wrinkles, gentle undulations, and minor texture marks are inherent characteristics of handmade xuan paper — not defects. Traditional wet-mounting (装裱) or long-term flat pressing renders the surface completely smooth. By purchasing, you acknowledge these natural paper characteristics.
