Nice France Postcard 1958 Jardin Albert 1er Avenue de Verdun Editions La Cigogne:
$7.99

This vintage mid-century black-and-white Real Photo postcard (RPPC) features a scenic high-angle view of Les Jardins Albert 1er (Albert I Gardens) and Avenue de Verdun in Nice, France, complete with iconic Mediterranean palm trees and historic city architecture. Published by Editions La Cigogne (Monaco), the card features distinct serrated deckled edges. The reverse side contains a handwritten travel message addressed to Little Falls, New Jersey, sent in late 1958. It is franked with two authentic French-issued stamps: a 12 Franc French Algeria Algiers coat of arms stamp and an 18 Franc Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges Cathedral stamp. A notable purple \"PAS PAR AVION\" (Not By Air Mail) instructional postal stamp is struck on the back, crossing out the handwritten airmail request due to surface mail postage rates. The card shows normal vintage wear consistent with age and transatlantic travel.

Comes from a smoke free environment.
