Native Gold, Malachite, Chalcocite Pioneer Mills Mine Cabarrus Co North Carolina For Sale

Here offered is a terrific example of something I have not often seen from NC gold mines, malachite with native gold! The specimen is scattered on multiple sides with small masses of native gold poking out from the quartz alongside malachite coating chalcocite. The specimen is very rich for the locality. Photo 3 shows native gold which extends in a small veinlet from the right side of the photo and down and into the other of the vug! The gold is visible to the naked eye but viewing it under the microscope makes it so much better and interesting.
I have never seen a specimen from this mine, EVER! This mine and associated buildings and headframe were some of the best historic examples of their time period in North Carolina and was actually on the National Historic Registry! Unfortunately as with many of the historic mines in the eastern US, the amazing historic buildings were razed to the ground and everything was bulldozed over to build a subdivision. This is your chance to own an amazing piece of NC history very near to where the first gold nugget in the US was found at the Reed Mine.Don't miss out on this specimen since this is one of the best specimens I have left.
